SP Adarsh Foundation Celebrates Success of Wheelchair Skills Training Program with Live Demonstration by Beneficiaries

SP Adarsh Foundation, in association with SP Medifort Hospital, successfully hosted a Wheelchair Skills Demonstration to mark the completion of a 10-day Wheelchair Skills Program conducted by the National Centre for Assistive Health Technologies (NCAHT) in collaboration with IIT Madras.

Held at SP Medifort Hospital, the event celebrated the determination, confidence, and independence achieved by the program participants through structured wheelchair skills training. The highlight of the event was a live demonstration by the beneficiaries, who showcased essential wheelchair skills including safe maneuvering, obstacle negotiation, ramp navigation, turning techniques, transfers, and mobility control. Their performance reflected the remarkable progress made during the intensive training program and underscored the importance of rehabilitation in empowering persons with mobility challenges.
