SP Medifort, Kerala’s leading JCI and NABH accredited hospital, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing 100 robotic-assisted surgeries using the state-of-the-art CMR Versius Robotic Surgical System. To commemorate this landmark achievement and promote greater awareness about robotic surgery, the hospital organized “RISE – CMR Versius Robotic Surgery Conclave” on Saturday, 11 July 2026.
The event featured a live demonstration of the CMR Versius Robotic Surgical System, interactive sessions with SP Medifort’s robotic surgeons, and inspiring patient testimonials from individuals who have successfully undergone robotic procedures. Participants also had the opportunity to get a hands-on demo on the robot and have their questions answered regarding robotic surgery and its applications across thoracic, upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, cancer, gynecology, urology and general surgeries.
Robotic surgeons, Dr Anu Antony Varghese, Dr Shammy SS; Urologists Dr Sasikumar NP, Dr Naveen Kanakaraj, Dr Ashik Suresh; GI Surgeon Dr Anush Mohan; Gynecologists Dr Rohini L, Dr Mymoona Nasar; Onco-surgeons Dr Chandramohan K, Dr Ajai Sasidhar, discussed the benefits of CMR Versius.
The CMR Versius Robotic Surgical System enables surgeons to perform complex procedures with exceptional precision while offering significant benefits to patients, including smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, less postoperative pain, lower risk of wound infections, shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, earlier return to normal activities, and improved cosmetic outcomes.
Together, we continue to redefine the future of patient care through technology, expertise, and excellence.
